New CIN Card : CNIE (National Electronic Identity Card) :
- Starting from Tuesday, April,1st, 2008, the requests for National Identity Card (CIN/CNIE) will undergo few changes. (Please, check further this section for future updates).
- Please note : strating from the above mentied date, April 1st, be it 1st time issuing, renewal, modification, correction or a declaration for lost :
+ The interested has crutially to come the Consulate as his fingerprint would have to be taken. Postal request are no longer considered.
+ The submission of either the birth certificate in arabic and french (dated for at least 12 months), or the original and a copy of the family booklet of the father is necessary. All the information must be in arabic and frensh (First and Last Name, Parents'Names, Names of paternal and maternel grandfather). The document "Fiche Individuelle de l'Etat-Civil" is not accepted,
+ The requested recent Photos (x2) are 3.5x4.5cm format :
+ Fees are 13,00$ (CNIE)
+ A work certificate is no longer required
+ It is strongly recommended that holders of the old model of the National Identity Card (CIN) renew their card even if it has not yet expired, to be in possession of the new card CNIE (updated in oct,28 2008),
- The CNIE requests must be filed before 1:00 pm
Anthropometrique File:
- The procedure of Anthropometrique File undergoes no changes except for the fees that are 3,75$ starting from Tuesday, April 1st, 2008.
Notes
Withdrawal of C.I.N/C.N.I.E and A.C : (Important)
Applicants, unable to withdraw their C.I.N/C.N.I.E or A.C in person in the consulate, are advised to provide the consulate with a prepaid return envelope – XpressPost, to assure the mailing of these documents. The C.I.N/C.N.I.E and A.C are case sensitive. For this, they must be delivered the respective holder exclusively.
Deadline for C.I.N/C.N.I.E and A.File reception :
The reception of the C.I.N/C.N.I.E and A.File from Morocco takes between 4 to 6 weeks counting from the date the request was submitted in the consulate.
Methods of Long-Distance Mailing and Fee Payment :
- To ensure a safe return delivery of your long-distance mailed documents, would you join, to your registration form and documents being sent, a recorded return envelop (Purolator, Fedex or others …) along with the appropriate request shipping amount.
- For long-distance mail the payments accepted are the bank drafts and certified bank checks, exclusively. The Consulate would be, otherwise, in the obligation to send back an eventual money order and personal check. (Payment order of 'CONSULATE OF MOROCCO').
Issuing of C.N.I.E (for the first time) :
The request must be filed before 1:00 pm.
