Marital status & Notary services
Note that for any service, the applicant must be registred with the consulate*. The foreigners are not subjected to this formality. Notification of Birth (law 37-99) : - Birth notifications are mandatory within twelve (12) months starting from the date of birth. Birth Certificate : - Birth certificates are issued to Canada born applicants only. The Consulate will issue an Individual record sheet (instead of the birth certificate) for other applicants, upon presentation of the applicant's father marital status booklet or a Birth cartificate in French even outdated. The Borth certificates are issued only at the applicant's birth place. Mailing and Payment Modalities : - In order to ensure a safe reception by the Consulate of your mailed documents -long distance-, please enclose a beforehand recorded «return» envelope (Purolator, Fedex or others …) accordingly stamped. - For -long distance- mailed payments, only bank drafts and certified bank checks are accepted. The Consulate will send back the money orders and the personnel checks to their holders. (payment order of 'CONSULATE OF MOROCCO'). - The Family record book is established by the Registry Officer at the husband's birthplace. The applicant (the husband) has to direct his request to his birthplace Registry Officer, or (in case the applicant is not in a position to apply), he will give a procurement to another person in order to deposit the request and to withdraw the Booklet in ... of the applicant. - However, the Consulate can, at the request of the applicant and upon presentation of the complete set of the above required documents, take charge of the sending to the Registry Officer. The Family record book then will be established at the applicant's birth place and conveyed thereafter to the Consulate. In this case, the procedure can take more than 4 months.
Required documents :
1- Husband's Registration card as well as wife's card (for Moroccan applicants) ; 2- HARD COPY of the mariage certificate + a copy ; 3- Integral Copy or husband's Birth certificate ; 4- Integral Copy of wife's birth certificate (not the birth certificate). For non-Moroccan wives, Birth certificate (with filiations : names of the father and the mother) ; 5- Copy of both sides of the husband's National Identity Card (C.I.N) ; 6- Copy of both sides of the wife's National Identity Card (C.I.N). For non-Moroccan wives, Copy of the passport (identification page) ; 7- Two (2) photographs of the husband ; 8- International money order of 7,75$ to the attention of : "l'Officier de l'Etat Civil ... This booklet is delivred only at the registration of a birth.
Request documents :
1- Registration card of the husband and the wife (for the Moroccans) ; 2- ORIGINAL of the marriage certificate + a copy ; 3- Integral Copy or the Birth certificate of the husband ; 4- Integral Copy of the Birth certificate of the wife (not birth certificate). For non-Moroccan wives, Birth certificate (with filiations : name of the father and the mother) ; 5- Two (2) photographs of the husband ; 6- Click the following link «APPLICATION FOR FAMILY RECORD BOOK» : to print and fill before coming to the Consulate ; 7- Certificate of employment, or Student certificate (or copy of student card) for sudent, for the husband.
If the informant (father or mother) has no possibility to present himself at the Consulate to sign the Book of declaration of births, he must imperatively designate an agent who must present himself with all the documents necessary. (the identity of the agent must be duly specified in the part reserved for this purpose in the form'APPLICATION FOR BIRTH NOTIFICATION' item 7). The Consulate does not accept any declaration sent directly by mail.
Request documents :
1- Registration card of the father and the mother (for the Moroccans) ; 2- ORIGINAL of the moroccan marriage certificate (strictly necessary) + Copy ; 3- ORIGINAL of the Certificate (not the Declaration) of birth of the child delivered by the Director of the Regestry Office (with filiations -name of the father and the mother-) + Copy ; 4- Family record book or Booklet of marital status (if there is one). N.B : Family record book is a necessary document you should establish, even after the birth registration (see above the Family record book application section) ; 5- Birth certificate written in Arabic and French (both sides) of the father; 6- Birth certificate written in Arabic and French (both sides) of the mother; 7- Click the following link «APPLICATION FOR BIRTH NOTIFICATION» : to print and fill before coming to the Consulate. Conditions : Respect of twelve (12) months period allowed (law 37-99), and respect of the choice of the first name according to the law 35-95 ;
Request documents :
1- Consular registration card of the dead person (if registred) ; 2- Booklet of marital status of the dead person, of of his/her father ; 3- Moroccan passport of the dead person ; 4- Certificate of death, delivered by the Canadian authorities ; 5- National Identity Card (C.I.N) of the dead person ; 6- Birth Certificate of the dead person ; 7- If married, a Birth Certificate of the spouse ; 8- To declare twelve (12) months at the latest after the date of the death ;
